With a new restaurant popping up in every nook and cranny of Lahore, finding a good place to eat can be quite the challenge. Finding a menu that appeals to your idiosyncratic taste buds seems like a monumental task.
So, when I went out to try Simply Sufi, I had mixed feelings, primarily because of its association with Sufi Banaspati. I’d conjured up images of burgers and French fries dripping in oil. But I was pleasantly surprised when I was served with perfectly regular junk food!
I must say I quite liked the taste of the burger! The buns were soft and fresh, and the patty had just the right amount of spices—not too salty and not too spicy. I’m not a big fan of spicy food, so that was a big plus for me. Moreover, the burger formula was quite simple, nothing too fancy, and with no attempts to concoct something “different”. That was appreciable!
However, I found my French fries to be a bit limp and unsalted. But that is something that can be improved. Overall, if you’re really hungry and not in the mood to experiment, Simply Sufi would be a safe bet!
