Didn’t get a chance to get your pre-Eid facial and are worried you may lack that post-facial glow? Don’t get a facial at all and yet looking for something that will instantly help your skin get all fresh and rejuvenated just in time for Eid? We’ve got you covered!
I for one am a complete proponent of home-made remedies and usage of natural ingredients whenever possible. So for this remedy, all you need is honey and cinnamon powder (darcheeni in Urdu)! YES, that’s it!
Here is the ideal quantity:
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon honey
How To Prepare
Do not use a spatula. Just mix them together with your finger. Why I do not suggest you use a spatula is that your finger will in any case be used to apply it to your face. And besides, since honey is sticky, you may also lose some of it as it sticks to the spatula.
It should have a paste-like consistency, not too runny but firm enough to stay on your face.
How To Use
Apply the paste to your face. It does not need to be too thick and no need for double layering. You may include your neck if you want. Leave it on for around 20 minutes and go by business as usual. Maybe even watch an episode of Friends while at it (that’s what I do).
Once the time is over, go to the sink, wet your fingers and very lightly scrub it paste off in circular motions. Now remember, do not be harsh since cinnamon has a grainy texture. Moreover, you will also feel a subtle burning feeling, that is perfectly okay! Nothing to worry about. Gently exfoliate for around 5 minutes and rinse your face completely after.
What To Expect
Here are things that are guaranteed to happen:
- Your skin will instantly become soft.
- Your face will looker lighter in complexion.
- Your skin will positively boast of the glow.
If there are any other positive effects, do share them with us. In the 2 months that I have been using this once a week, I haven’t experienced a single negative affect. As a matter of fact, a lot of light marks on my face left by pimples have lightened to quite an extent.
I would recommend this to everyone, unless of course you are allergic to either of the ingredients.
